Repositioned internet and file/print servers, generating revenue growth of 40% and standard

Brinton has honed his marketing expertise while developing a solid track record in
executive marketing positions at top technology companies.
As Vice President of E-Commerce at SyQuest Technology reporting to the CEO, Brinton launched the
on-line sales channel and profitable B2C “SyQuest Store” e-commerce business, hosting order
processing and fulfillment operations within two months, and initiating positive cash flow
with gross margins >30% and business unit P&L profitability within six months.
At Apple Computer, Brinton led product marketing for one of Apple's four divisions,
serving as Senior Director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Servers, Displays and
PC Compatibility products. Brinton repositioned server products around
traditional Apple markets and delivered revenue and margin growth of over 40%.
At Oracle Corporation, Brinton held marketing positions of increasing responsibility,
ultimately serving as Senior Director of Marketing for Oracle’s Desktop Products Division,
in which capacity he rapidly introduced new Personal, Workgroup and OLE 2.0 Automation
products, growing divisional revenue at 68% - the fastest platform divisional growth rate.
Brinton has also held senior technology marketing positions include NEC Technologies,
CompuServe, Motorola, Data General and Fort Hill Systems.
Brinton commenced his technology career as an award-winning software engineer and
project leader at Data General, where he led the testing of DG's first 32-bit operating
system, AOS/VS, widely acclaimed for its excellent reliability, and was awarded the
Outstanding Development Award.
